Responsibilities
Obtain software asset(s) media, licenses, and keys. Provision assets to appropriate directories. Update data management system, issue tickets with deployment information, and provide notification of receipt.
Process journal entries for campus departmental purchases of software through PeopleSoft Finance module.
Perform data management and reporting. Update appropriate data storage source with new or changing asset information that is required for various reporting needs. This includes renewal dates, vendor, serial number, equipment specification data, owner, mocodes, etc.
Procure assets following system and campus policies including BPM 12004, security, and legal review when required, procurement policies and procedures (bids, sole justifications, proper purchasing mechanism, etc.).
Manage tickets to properly communicate with customers and other IT teams to fulfill service requests, including but not limited to exchanging emails with relevant information regarding the request in a professional manner, setting pending status and follow up dates when required, and transferring ticket to appropriate team when Asset's responsibilities are completed.
Foster positive working relations with not only campus faculty, staff and students, eProcurement, UM legal, Risk Management, but also account representatives and vendors in order to provide effective vendor management, including requesting quotes, bids, ETA's and legal change requests to agreements.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
