Job Description The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Administrative Assistant 1, UNLV Student Academic Success, Division of Health Sciences [R0144479] ROLE of the POSITION The Administrative Assistant 1 (AA1) provides administrative support duties to the office of Student Academic Success, Division of Health Sciences Advising Center (DHS). The AA1 answers general telephone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner. Direct phone inquiries to the appropriate advisor and staff members. Reply to voicemail and general information requests with accurate information. Greet staff, students, visitors and suppliers in a professional and friendly manner. Assist with incoming and outgoing petitions, semester enrollment forms, campus mail and courier deliveries. The AA1 assists the Administrative Assistant III with clerical support for the DHS Center by scanning and uploading documents to student records, creating student files and maintaining files. The AA1 is responsible for the data entry and maintenance of the online drop of paperwork and telephone logs. The AA1 schedules student appointments in Campus Connect, schedules office staff meetings and appointments and runs daily reports. The AA1 assists the Administrative Assistant 3 with BSN Signing Session Scheduling for each application cycle, creating New Student Orientation packets and any additional projects that arise. The AA1 communicates with departments and various offices of the campus community regarding any pertinent policies and procedures. The AA1 maintains a professional and courteous manner at all times, and maintains confidentiality when dealing with student information.
