Job Description The Counseling Services department at the University of Nevada, Reno is searching for a part time, (20-30 hours per week) individual to provide administrative and operational support. The ideal candidate for this position must be able to work independently and on rare occasions, work efficiently and remain professional in a potentially stressful environment. Note: Schedule is negotiable, but must fall within our operating hours of Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 7:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. On-site work is required. Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position will include: Working with team members on reconciling procurement card transactions Coordinating purchases and travel for the department Tracking spending and professional development funds Working as the administrative support person for our Training Program to involve communicating with applicants Scheduling interviews and coordinating schedules Additional responsibilities may include assisting the front desk with coverage needs and providing backup support to other administrative tasks Required Qualifications Candidate must have experience in customer service work and/or reception; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training to work with potentially stressful situations and/or persons in crisis Candidate must have the ability to handle multiple job assignments Candidate must have strong organizational skills and must be able to multi-task Candidate must have skill in using Microsoft programs Candidate must have some independent judgement, strong interpersonal skills and good communication skills Teamwork is required; Adherence to confidentiality guidelines strictly enforced (will be asked to sign an Employee Confidentiality Agreement) Preferred Qualifications Candidate with experience working at an NSHE institution and Workday is preferred As this position will be working with protected health information, experience and knowledge of HIPAA is also preferred Schedule Expected hours to work per week: 20-30 Schedule is negotiable. Hours must be scheduled during the Counseling Services’ operating hours listed in Job Description.
