Position Summary

Schedules and coordinates patient and attending appointments. Collects and maintains medical data and records, coordinates acquisition and disposition of facilities maintancance requests from faculty. Maintains fiscal/administrative controls and documentation, medical license renewals for DEA, NM Medical License, Board of Pharmacy, and keeping up to date without expiring, re-credentialing processes and secretarial support for the Faculty and Medical Support Staff. Will work close to RN coordinator for medical records and preparation for patient prior to arrival in clinic. Will coordinate and organize out of state travel for faculty members to attend conferences/seminars/classes etc. flight, hotel will need to be arranged along with reimbursement processes.

  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

  • Strong organizational Skills
  • Strong multi-tasking Skills
  • Experience with maintainig multiple calendars & scheduling meetings/interviews accordingly
  • Experience with purchasing (PCard)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of medical procedures and what the different imaging studies mean ex. CT/MRI/US/Xray/Colonoscopy/EGD Etc
