The University of Notre Dame is seeking a detail-oriented and customer focused individual with a passion for communications to serve in the role of
Email Communications Specialist within the dynamic team that is the Notre Dame Alumni Association (NDAA).
The
Email Communications Specialist coordinates the email practices on behalf of the NDAA. This includes developing and sending broadcast communications to our community of 200,000 alumni, parents, and friends for both the NDAA and campus partners. Duties also include identifying and reporting key analytics related to communications and helping support our alumni email system and participating in NDAA-sponsored events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Email Campaigns: Manage the end-to-end process for broadcast communications within the NDAA including the intake, scheduling and coordination, develop the messages using the NDAA tools, prepare recipient lists, send, and track message statistics and analytics.
- Best Practices and Process Improvement: Capture base practices related to communications lifecycle and provide consulting support to the NDAA team and campus partners.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Identify and develop useful analytics related to NDAA communications to help improve the effectiveness of communications and improve future messaging.
- Google Domain Administration: Serve as the primary point of contact for the NDAA's Google domain including helping manage the account lifecycle, monitoring usage statistics and reporting, and preparing help and support documentation.
- And More: Engage in key NDAA Activities such as Reunion, NDAA Board, Leadership Conferences, Football Fridays, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience in a related field
- Understanding and use of basic to advanced principles, theories and practices related to broadcast email messages and/or email domain administration
- Interpersonal & Communication Skills - Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills, and uses persuasion and negotiation to build consensus and cooperation
- Ability to Organize - Completes numerous assignments, sets priorities, and oversees completion of assignments for self and others
- Detail oriented - Demonstrated ability to ensure precision and accuracy in work product
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expert level working knowledge of HTML and CSS (experience with responsive design preferred)
- Familiarity with email metrics and analysis
- Familiarity with Google Domain administration and account management tools
