Telephony Services, within the Infrastructure Services Division of the Office of Information Technologies (OIT), is seeking a Network AutoCAD Technician with expertise in Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems to document technology assets, construction and remodeled floor plans, fiber optic system databases, and the overall campus building and infrastructure map.
The Network AutoCAD Technician supports the University of Notre Dame's construction, utility and renovation efforts with Facilities Design and Operations, the Athletics Department, the Police and Fire Departments, Academia and other campus partners that utilize technology.
The position requires proficiency with multiple CAD documentation systems (including Bluebeam), experience with PDF editing platforms, attention to detail, office/desk work, creativity and at times making deadlines with limited timetables. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM with no physical requirements other the ability to work on computers using software applications daily.

Much of the work is with light supervision and self paced. This position can work in a hybrid mode with some time in the office on campus and some time remote.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year (or more) certificate or training from college or technical school
• 5-6 years experience in AutoCAD and PDF editing software
• AutoCAD 2016 certification (or more modern)
• Experience using Google Gmail/calendaring and intermediate expertise with Google Sheets, Doc, and shared drives
• Knowledge of general construction site protocol and safety procedures
• Customer service experience and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, team oriented office environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Bluebeam systems for documentation
