Who we are: The Notre Dame International Security Center (NDISC) was established in 2008 to provide a forum where leading scholars in national security studies from Notre Dame and elsewhere could come together to explore some of the most pressing issues in national security policy.
Job Description: The Program Coordinator in the Notre Dame International Security Center (NDISC) works in conjunction with the Center Director, Assistant Director, Directors of the undergraduate program, and Directors of the Hans J. Morgenthau program, under the direction of the Program Manager to oversee all tasks related to center activities including but not limited to events, supporting the undergraduate fellows and interdisciplinary minor and in-processing of new fellows. Oversees the center office spaces. Ensures that the administrative responsibilities of the center are met as directed.
Essential Duties Plan and administer center events, seminars and talks, including advertising, scheduling travel, lodging and reimbursements for external visitors. Reserve campus space, order and coordinate meals and refreshments, provide agenda and maintain communications to ensure successful events. Schedule faculty and committee meetings (secure a location, materials, and refreshments). Take and distribute the minutes of department meetings Manage the Chair's calendar, correspondence, and travel. Maintain center files and databases, and generate reports as needed. Maintain undergraduate student records for NDISC Fellows and Interdisciplinary minors. Assure effective onboarding of new students and fellows and manage outgoing alumni Keep track of office supplies and requisition what is needed to maintain the smooth functioning of the center. Sort and distribute mail Work collaboratively in conjunction with the other staff to support the needs of the center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years of administrative experience
- Excellent organizational skills, high level of attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
- Must be proficient in computer skills and able to work with a number of standard software programs: Word, Excel, Google Suite, Gmail

Familiarity with the University of Notre Dame
