Job Description Summary
The School District of Philadelphia's Safe Path Program enhances the safety of students traveling to and from school by providing an adult presence to monitor designated routes. Penn Injury Science Center (PISC) is partnering with the School District and community organizations to expand and enhance the existing program. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Safe Path Program including meeting coordination, program implementation, data collection and reporting. The Field Coordinator will be a liaison between the community organizations, school sites, the Office of School Safety and the PISC project team. This position will monitor program progress, develop feedback loops for program improvements and ensure communication between program partners. This is a 2-year grant-funded position. Individuals with lived experience of violence and its consequences are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Safe Path Program
- Build community support for the program (including faith-based community leaders, residents, businesses, and community)
- organizations that provide services needed by program participants)
- Along with Project Director, create internal protocols for program implementation and monitor training
- Assure systematic recordkeeping on program performance indicators and program highlights
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy, submitting timely and complete monthly program reports via prescribed tool/mechanism
- Manage communication between stakeholders and create feedback loops for incident reporting
- Work with CBOs and schools to ensure path monitor adherence to protocol and address any emerging challenges
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Candidates having 2-3 years of experience working in urban, community or school settings and project coordination experience preferred. Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, decisiveness and good judgement, and ability to navigate relationships with people of diverse cultures, faiths, gender identities, etc. Proven ability to oversee the delivery of projects and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that deliverables are to specifications with high standards. Content knowledge of community violence prevention preferred. No pending criminal cases or prior convictions for domestic violence (within 10 years) or prior convictions for sexual assault or child abuse.
