What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Campaign Manager position at University of Pikeville?

The University of Pikeville in Pikeville, Kentucky seeks a dynamic and creative Capital Campaign Manager to oversee campaign activity and organization including pipeline development, prospect tracking, maintenance of timelines, and proactively manage all capital campaign processes. In addition, this role will have project management opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Overall campaign management and organization including pipelines, prospect tracking, strategy, and task management.
  2. Develop and maintain a master campaign calendar to maximize cultivation events and keep campaign committee on track.
  3. Administer a centralized process for prospect name capture, capacity and interest coding.
  4. Oversee the development of target lists for the overall campaign and for large investments.
  5. Create and assist with campaign communications, such as acknowledgements, follow-up letters, and thank you letters from university leadership.
  6. Support the Campaign Leadership and key volunteer solicitors in a variety of ways, to include organizing meetings, coordinating volunteer trainings, and providing resources needed for prospect cultivation and stewardship.
  7. Lead and direct special fundraising projects as assigned.
  8. Work collaboratively with advancement team to ensure donor visits, solicitations, and fulfillment of gifts are on schedule.
  9. Provides administrative and organizational support for the advancement office.
  10. Perform other duties as requested. 

Relationships:

Position requires daily contact with co-workers, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, and the community. These relationships are maintained through e-mail, telephone, written, and person-to-person contact.

Education/Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
  • Previous campaign management experience is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, excellent communication skills, and strong organizational skills are necessary.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines.
