Description: Primarily reporting to the head coach of wrestling, the Assistant Wrestling Coach (Intern) will assist the head coach in all phases of the wrestling program
Responsibilities include coaching and teaching (75%) and administrative duties (25%)
Coaching responsibilities: Assist with and provide instruction during practices and competitions
Provide video analysis for competitions and practice sessions
Recruiting responsibilities: assist with on campus and off campus recruiting efforts
Coordinate campus recruiting visits for prospective student-athletes
Administrative duties: provide academic support and monitor academic progress for student-athletes
Provide additional support for contest management as needed
**This position will have housing and a meal plan provided
**Internship could potentially turn into a full time position with benefits
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree Minimum of 1 year of playing and/or coaching experience at the college level
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work in a diverse community
* Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and travel as needed
* Demonstrated ability to work and maintain good judgement in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
* First aid, CPR, and AED Certifications
