SUMMARY:
The International Education Fellow for International Student Engagement is a limited term, one-year (20-30 hour/week) position that facilitates the well-being of and engagement on campus and beyond for international students, including mentorship; creates and maintains connection with student organizations; Student Development (including referrals to relevant units) where international students would benefit from greater engagement; and Career Services, where the special needs of international students have gained a greater focus.
The IE Fellow is a primary advisor for international students for campus integration, and will assist with individual and group advising on connecting with campus life. The Fellow will assist with creating and managing International Education events to meet student needs, including those that specifically support the mentoring program, and helps IE to maximize the impact of International Education Week for on-campus learning.
As assigned by the supervisor, the Fellow will draft and edit IE publications, press releases, and web-based information related to international student engagement and study abroad, and assist with data management regarding international student statistics, surveys, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required; direct experience in both US and another cultural setting and knowledge of a language other than English. Experience with organizing, promoting and supporting international engagement and participation in student organizations in a higher education context preferred.
