ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
The University Controller's Office is a System-wide function which is led by the Vice President, Deputy CFO, and Controller and has approximately 125 employees. The UCO consists of Financial Reporting & Accounting (General Accounting, Financial Systems, Reporting, Research Cash Management, Assist Management); Student Financial Services (Cashier's Office, Student Accounting, Accounts Receivable); Payroll and Tax Services and the Office of Supplier Diversity. The UCO's mission is to safeguard institutional resources and provide accounting and operational support to the USF System while ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and regulatory financial guidelines.
POSITION SUMMARY:
To provide daily support in the receiving of incoming packages to the university, and the subsequent delivery of packages received to Central Receiving's designated areas of the campus. To use the SC logic package tracking system to record the receipt of and delivery of all packages that are delivered to the university by FedEx, UPS, DHL etc...
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Input, reconciling receiving and delivery information in SC logic system.
Deliver freight and small packages to campus locations.
Receive freight and packages.
Research package delivery, for items that are not properly addressed, and other administrative duties.
Answer phones and provide customer service.
Record maintenance in the new SC logic package tracking system.
Filing, office work and other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
This position requires a high school diploma, or equivalent, with one year of general office experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Florida Class E Driver's License. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
PREFERRED:
Forklift experience. Microsoft Office tools experience. Oracle/PeopleSoft inquiry experience. Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle.
