The Department's clinical educators and clinical services are a fundamental part of the academic and training missions. The team of mental health professionals offer a range of psychiatric and behavioral health services utilizing the most up-to-date research in the field and state-of-the-art technology. The Department of Psychiatry provides clinical services primarily at the Los Angeles General Medical Center, USC Student Health and student exclusive practices as part of Keck Medicine of USC, and additional ambulatory practices for Keck Medicine of USC, including Keck Hospital of USC, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the USC Care Medical Group.

Position Description
Through our educational and training programs, we strive to advance the future of psychiatric and behavioral health education, promote lifelong learning, and make a positive impact on the mental health landscape. The Vice Chair for Education (VCE) aligns with the Department's mission and is responsible for leading the educational and training programs. The VCE reports to the Department Chair and works in concert with fellow Vice-Chairs and division directors to assure high quality education and training in a scholarly environment, compliant with regulatory bodies. The educational programs within the department span pre- and post-graduate training, as well as undergraduate and continuing medical education, and include:

Medical Student Education Psychology training programs (Pre- and Post-doctoral level programs) Master's level training programs (counseling, social work, and marriage & family therapy; Pre- and Post-graduate level programs) Undergraduate classes Continuing Education programs
The profile of activities for the position will be comprised approximately of 25% Administrative time, 50% Clinical time (as teaching attending direct clinical care), and 25% didactic educational activities.

The annual base salary range for this position is $175,000-$350,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and
responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
