Position Details
The Admissions Department at The University of Tampa has an opening for a Communication Coordinator who will be responsible for facilitating and managing centralized communications (through all channels) for enrollment offices. This position will report to the Director of Operations and Communication for Enrollment Management.
Responsibilities
1. Manage inventory of marketing publications and promotional items, both onsite and through outside vendors. Coordinate the production of marketing publications though various university departments.
2. Keep up-to-date both with postal regulations and with the latest technology in order to determine the most appropriate way to transmit communication.
3. Serve as departmental liaison with UT Mail Services and various communication-related vendors.
4. Coordinate the production of printed communication onsite and generate lists to transmit electronically to mailing houses and outside vendors.
5. Assist with the creation and sending of various forms of electronic communication.
6. Maintain and update communications (print, email, text, etc.) to ensure accurate and up-to-date wording, policies and statistics.
7. Maintain electronic ordering form for marketing publications and promotional items.
8. Work with enrollment staff to prepare and distribute materials to on-campus and off-campus events (domestic and international).
9. Assist with events as needed during evening and weekend hours.
10. Maintain printing, duplicating, folding machines and other related equipment.
11. Other miscellaneous assigned duties that arise during the course of the annual admissions cycle.
12. Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications
1. High School diploma required, Associate’s degree or some college a preferred.
2. Experience using Excel, csv and text files required.
3. Windows navigation and data file manipulation required.
4. Excellent skills working in MS Word, Excel and Outlook required.
5. Knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday and Slate.
6. Willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.
7. Good oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely.
8. Ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
9. Previous experience working in a private college setting a plus.

Work Schedule
Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Summer Schedule: Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
