This role is advertised as both a Standard Academic Contract (to include a requirement to engage in research) or a Teaching Only Contract.This is an exciting opportunity to join the enthusiastic and ambitious Department of Computing at the University of Worcester. The Department is based within the rapidly expanding Worcester Business School at the University of Worcester City Campus. Over the past year the School has experienced growing numbers of students joining our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. As a result, we are seeking to complement our team with an experienced Lecturer in Information Systems.Our overriding aim is to be an outstanding Institution at which to study through provision of an excellent Learning and Teaching environment. We offer professionally relevant courses, informed by the needs of industry and delivered through an experiential learning approach. Our courses are inspired by contemporary research with a curriculum that develops knowledge, skills and the ability to think critically and be innovative. The Department of Computing conducts research across several themes including Machine Learning, Data Science, Intelligent Interactive Systems, Computing in Education and Cyber Security and hosts the Digital Innovation and Intelligent Systems Research Group.The successful candidate will hold a Masters level qualification in Computer Science or related field, and have contemporary subject knowledge and/or experience of professional practice in several of the following areas:
