JOB TITLE:
Associate Director of Global Engagement
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide strategic planning and project management support to the Global Engagement Office with specific responsibility for developing and stewarding strategic partnerships, managing grant proposals and funds, and collecting and communicating data pertaining to UW's global footprint to assist with cultivating interdisciplinary global projects and improving international rankings.
Job Overview: The Associate Director for Global Engagement occupies a key leadership position, working closely with the Vice Provost for Global Engagement to plan, coordinate, implement and assess global programs across all departments within the Global Engagement Office and in collaboration with academic departments across the colleges. The Associate Director serves as the central administrator for the Global Engagement Office in the absence of the Vice Provost and plays an important role in strategic planning and project management. Primary responsibilities include international partnership development and management, external grant development and management, assessment of global engagement initiatives, and developing protocols for collecting and communicating data about existing international research, partnerships, and faculty and student mobility across the university. The Associate Director will also work with the Vice Provost and Directors to identify and pursue areas for expansion. These responsibilities require the Associate Director to work independently while also maintaining active and open communication with the Vice Provost, the Directors of Education Abroad, International Students and Scholars, the Center for Global Studies, and the English Language Center, and other Global Engagement Office staff.

We seek to foster an inclusive global culture that encourages international exchange and collaboration, promotes curricular and extracurricular international experiences for all UW students, increases intercultural competence of faculty, staff, and students, and establishes a welcoming environment for international students, scholars and visitors. The Global Engagement Office is responsible for overseeing and promoting all aspects of the University of Wyoming's global footprint, including recruiting and supporting international students, cultivating semester, year-long and short-term study abroad and internship opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students, maintaining and expanding strategic partnerships with international universities, delivering English language and American culture support for the university's students and international community, and fostering international research opportunities for faculty and students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university (Master's degree preferred)
Experience: 5 years related professional experience
