What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accessioning Tech position at unm?
As a nationally accredited program with strong educational component in The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, the Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI) investigates any death occurring across the state of New Mexico that is sudden, violent, untimely, unexpected or where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI, which is a special program within the Department of Pathology, determines the cause and manner of death in these cases, and provides formal death certification.
OMI is currently looking for an Accessioning Tech to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be a team player and willing to learn. This person must be able to work with external stakeholders and follow protocols for sanitation and safety. The candidate will be assisting with acceptance and release of decedents as well as evidence and personal possessions. Our ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to follow complex instruction. The position also requires data entry and a high degree of attention to detail.
