We are seeking a Gameplay Engineer with a robust technical background and a passion for immersive technologies. The successful candidate will join our innovative and dynamic team that is building the future of critical training. The primary responsibilities of the role are to add functionality and intelligence into VR environments used for training. This role operates in a fast-paced, agile environment, providing the opportunity to work on a variety of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize existing tools to script game systems.
- Inject functionality into game environments.
- Oversee the lifecycle of tasks, from conception to implementation and evaluation.
- Document systems and assets used in levels to ensure continuity and efficiency.
- Actively participate in play tests, logging and assisting in the triage of bugs.
- Maintain a high level of quality and performance in all tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of engineers and other professionals to meet project objectives.
- Proficiency in at least one Scripting Language.
- Solid understanding of Game Engines and the game loop.
- Well-versed in Gameplay Mechanics and scripting new mechanics.
- Expertise in building and using Unreal Engine’s Blueprint System.
- Up-to-date knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 and subsystems.
- Firm understanding of Game Systems and Game Architecture.
- Experience with Data Driven Systems.
- Familiarity with Test Driven Development.
- Proficiency with Source Control systems.
