Description:
We are looking for a FP&A Manager to support the Global Finance team in the design & build of a best-in-class FP&A function in a high growth tech startup environment. Initially beginning as an individual contributor reporting to the VP, Finance and working closely with the Executive and C-Suite teams, this role is expected to grow with the organization as complexity and headcount increases. Critical to success in this role is an ability to gain buy-in for new processes and layers of oversight working with a fully distributed team.
Specifically, the FP&A Manager is anticipated to have significant ownership in 4 major areas:
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Translating the company’s strategic plan into financial metrics (Revenue, Net Income, Cash, etc) in both the near term (< 6 months) and a multi-year forecast
- Report company performance against forecasted financial metrics and translate performance into strategic achievements
- Structure and maintain corporate financial models for annual operating plans and rolling forecasts monthly
Management Reporting
- Create forecasts & reports that help department heads manage performance and meet financial and strategic objectives
- Increase the granularity and complexity of consolidated financial reports (by cost center, vendor, product, revenue stream, etc)
- Assist with the design and implementation of back-end financial reporting systems to improve visibility and consumption of financial data throughout the organization
Decision Support
- Serve as an internal expert/consultant for financial reporting and forecasting best practices - working closely with department leads and C-Suite Executives to improve company wide processes
- Research and provide recommendations on corporate structure, accounting/tax policy, data structures, and accounting systems to improve financial performance
- Provide analysis and due diligence support for M&A transactions
Special Projects
- Serve as internal project manager for key accounting process or system implementations
- Provide integration and various post-deal support for M&A activities
- Ad hoc finance & treasury analysis as assigned and be an internal evangelist for the power of financial reporting and data consumption
- Periodically review risk, capital allocation, and treasury governance for compliance with generally accepted public accounting standards
You are:
- An inquisitive, self-motivated and data-fluent finance professional who is comfortable surfacing opportunities to improve business performance through efficient and frictionless planning processes, high degrees of consultation, strong rule-based documentation, and strategic reporting initiatives
- Experienced with the full FP&A cycle from ZBB & rolling forecasting to multi-year forecasting, performance management, and strategic objective translation - fluent around major financial statements and an expert in major financial reporting tools
- Intellectually curious, intent on investigating the “Why” and passionate about our mission to create the next-generation of the Internet
- Able to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment
- Able to constantly switch gears between the big picture and specific deliverables, while being willing to engage with the details and proverbially roll-up your sleeves to support growth
- Curious or knowledgable about cryptocurrency and decentralized finance accounting concepts
Requirements:
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in FP&A, Senior Financial Analysis, or Consulting
- Experience structuring and owning financial reporting for middle to large market companies
- Experience scaling accounting processes at high-growth organizations
- Experience designing and implementing robust and durable finance procedures
- Excellent communication (including C-level briefing), prioritization and project management skills.
- Expertise in financial modeling, management reporting, and the implementation of budgetary controls
- Experience with major Accounting ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc); Excel; Accounting/Planning software (Adaptive/Anaplan/Blackline, etc)

- Experience with Quickbooks
- MBA/CFA/CMA/CGMA
- Interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency
