Art Teacher

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement art lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives
- Teach students various art techniques, including drawing, painting, and sculpture
- Foster creativity and self-expression in students through art projects and activities
- Provide guidance and support to students as they explore different art mediums and styles
- Assess student artwork and provide constructive feedback to promote growth and improvement
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary lessons
- Organize and display student artwork for exhibitions or showcases

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and principles
- Ability to effectively teach math and literacy skills through art activities
- Understanding of childhood development and how it relates to art education
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment
- Familiarity with learning technology tools and software for art instruction
- Experience in lesson planning to create engaging and interactive art lessons
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles for teaching younger students
- Ability to work well with students of all ages and backgrounds, including those with special needs
- Understanding of physical education concepts to incorporate movement into art lessons

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 6 per week
