Machine Helper

Maksteel powered by UPG is looking to fill a Machine Helper in the Chattanooga, TN location. There are opportunities for wage growth and career advancement. Any relevant steel experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a detail-oriented candidate that is eager to learn and grow in this fast-paced environment. We strive to build strong relationships with our customers by providing high level of service, value-add opportunities, and professionalism in all interactions, allowing us to become a valued member of their supply chain and production teams.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Navigate metal ware and produce tags
• Communicate to Team Leaders any problems that may arise
• Update locations of finished goods
• Keep a clean and organized work area

Position Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to work flexible shift depending on business needs
• Ability to read and understand measurement tools (micrometer, caliber, etc.)
• Ability to work various positions on the machines
• Experience with forklift and overhead crane is a plus
