Maksteel USA powered by UPG is looking to fill a Maintenance Technician position in the Dearborn, MI location. There are opportunities for wage growth and career advancement. Responsibilities:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Strong knowledge of AC/DC motors, controls, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, start-up, and troubleshooting
- Perform basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair. (Starters, contacts, VFD drives, motor wiring etc.) 12v-480v systems.
- Understanding of a PLC software and operating systems with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose input / output card failures and reset run fault errors. RS Logic 5000 knowledge preferred.
- Implement diagnostic troubleshooting and repairs of gearboxes (seals and bearings), motors, pumps and related components for the support of the process equipment.
- Troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, installation, and demolition of the plant’s electrical equipment and machinery, including motors, panels, generating equipment, lighting circuits, communication systems, etc.
Qualifications:
- Maybe required to perform other miscellaneous assignments as directed.
- Must have own tools and electrical service equipment (Meters/Probes etc.)
- A minimum of 3 years or more electrical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and process monitoring is preferred.
- Must pass pre-employment requirements and hold a valid and safe driving record.
- Ability to work alone and in a team setting to complete tasks effectively.
