UPMC Hamot, a Magnet designated facility located in Erie, PA is hiring a Clinician to join 7 South Oncology!
Unit: 7-South is a close-knit team of highly experienced nurses, many with over 20 years of service. Our unit feels like a family, fostering a supportive environment with strong teamwork and a commitment to professional growth through the career ladder. Specializing in oncology, we provide chemotherapy to cancer patients as needed, offering opportunities for chemotherapy certification and foundational oncology training.
$20,000 sign-on bonus available for nurses with over one year of experience!
Title and salary will be determined based upon education and nursing experience.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours. Standard shifts are 8 hours (07:00am-3:30pm). Flexible options include two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts with one day off during the week. In case of staffing shortages, the Clinician is required to sign up for four 12-hour on-call shifts per 6-week period, which may or may not be needed. Enjoy holidays and weekends off.
Overview: The Clinician is a nurse leader responsible for fostering a culture of excellence in patient care and serving as a role model for professional nursing practice. Under the direction of the Unit Director or department manager, the Clinician oversees employee evaluations, staff hiring, and daily performance management. The role includes providing education, training, and clinical expertise to staff, coordinating clinical activities, and, if needed, delivering direct nursing care.
