What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Aide position at UPMC?
In accordance with established procedures and policies, the Equipment Aide establishes and maintains a safe and therapeutic environment. The Equipment Aide monitors all supplies and equipment, and facilitates maintenance in an assigned area.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurate record keeping and quality checks of equipment.
- Identify needed repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of unit specific equipment/environment according to procedures.
- Enter online requests for repairs to facilities and keep accurate records of maintenance performed.
- Assist with assigned quality monitoring including, but not limited to, maintaining refrigerator and temperature logs and point of care testing.
- Notify appropriate personnel when respective quality indicators are out of normal range.
- Order unit specific supplies/equipment and ensures that adequate amounts are available on the unit.
Salary : $17 - $27
