Description
Purpose:
The program manager is responsible for the administrative leadership and direction of activities within the CMO Office, starting with but not limited to the Physician THRIVE well-being programs. This includes the conceptualization, organization, and implementation of the programs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee, direct, and coordinate all day-to-day functions of the programs. Manage administrative issues related to service delivery with other program staff.
- Provide administrative supervision to other program staff as needed.
- Supervise training and orientation to all new staff and ongoing training to current employees.
- Manage programmatic issues related to all services
- Monitor program effectiveness on a regular basis.
- Work collaboratively with the CMO and key physicians, including Physician THRIVE leaders to develop and expand the program to meet the needs of the target population as it corresponds to the overall vision of UPMC.
- Assist in defining annual strategic goals, which coincide with the mission of the UPMC CMO Office, and Physician THRIVE and UPMC.
- Develops, monitors, and maintains any initiative within the proposed budget.
- Demonstrates compliance with Physician THRIVE and UPMC policies and procedures.
- Develops procedures and a reporting structure to measure quality of programs.
- Develops outcome procedures demonstrating program effectiveness.
- Conducts individual evaluations of staff performance within the set time period.
- Conducts an evaluation of program goals from previous year, identifying accomplishments and areas of need to be used in strategic planning for the next fiscal year.
- Conducts all hiring, promotions, and disciplinary action for program staff.
- Provides or coordinates effective group training and individual supervision for all program staff.
Qualifications
- Master's degree with a minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare setting. At least two years supervisory experience preferred.
