Job Summary

This position will inspect reconciliation, hold and reject verification and resolution thereof. This role works directly with CBP, USDA, FWS inspectors and Int'l Import Ops assisting in daily Ontario Hub sort. The incumbent prepares and completes miscellaneous reports, reconciles nightly shipment concerns, holds resolutions and inspects reports. This position presents exams to government agencies. The incumbent communicates any additional information needed to Nightside team or seek same as required, via phone, e-mail, and comments in ISPS or BOSS. This position reviews holds for those that may be processed. This role prepares and completes reports as required and report results to supervisor.

This position troubleshoots and communicates documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins. The incumbent audits commercial documents, applies harmonized tariff schedule codes for accurate duty assessments and ensures all federal requirements are met. This role handles general customs brokerage activities, general office and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Works with import on the MAWB list
• Researches and resolves UA shipments and those on a normal status
• Sends network reports for pending shipments prior to sort
• Assists CBP as needed during their exams
• Places detained shipments on hold in OPSYS
• Works CBP inspect lists, detainments, manipulations, abandonments, EANs and seizures
• Performs general administrative tasks
