Senior Developer

UpSlope Advisors is looking for a rockstar Senior Developer to join our team!  This person will provide crucial support to the Customer Care Support Center (CCSC) Desk Support and Management services for a local government agency. Duties may include writing code, analyzing data, and contributing to the design and implementation of software.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Utilize coding languages and frameworks to create scalable and efficient applications.   
• Provide technical leadership to a team of developers, ensuring collaboration, knowledge sharing, and adherence to project timelines.   
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand and analyze software requirements, translating them into technical specifications.     
• Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality, adherence to coding standards, and security best practices.     
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, code documentation, and release notes.     
• Implement security best practices in software development, ensuring compliance with government security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, quality assurance professionals, and other stakeholders, to ensure project success. 
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C , Python, or others relevant to the project.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a development team effectively. 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Experience with government security standards and compliance. 
• Proven experience as a senior developer in a government contracting environment.
