Die Setter

Upstate Staffing is a family owned company that has been manufacturing and distributing industrial plastic products for over 20 years. We are currently hiring for a Setter to assist the line operators with the set up and operation of the line. The Setter will report to the Line Operator and perform various tasks related to the production process. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Set up of equipment for each run
• Keep production area clean
• Assist production team with setup of jobs
• Assist in inventory control
• Assist in quality control of products
• Keep work area clean
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Follow safety regulations
• 3 years Die Set up experience
• Setup and secure die/tooling in presses and other machines as needed
• Set up and hang coils for machines, and help run the coil into the die.
• Assists maintenance dismantle defective machines and equipment and helps install new or repaired parts.
• Excellent, demonstrated mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• MUST have High School Diploma or GED
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Setup and secure die/tooling in presses and other machines as needed

Set up and hang coils for machines, and help run the coil into the die.

Work through any die or setup issues to ensure efficient production run.

Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem and/or repair machine.

Assists maintenance dismantle defective machines and equipment and helps install new or repaired parts.

Initiates trouble shooting of die problems.

Monday- Friday 2:30p-11p / Monday - Thursday 4a-2:30p

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
