Us:
Upstate Taco will specialize in innovative tacos and handmade cocktails. We are a husband and wife team getting ready to open our second restaurant. We work hard and have fun while doing it and we are looking for like minded people to join our team!
You:
A vital member of our taqueria, the Bartender is comfortable serving and talking about cocktails, spirits (tequila and mezcal a plus), wine and local beer. As bartender, you should be hospitable, friendly and accommodating to everyone who walks through our doors. The Bartender is responsible for production of all beverage orders as well as the service of guests seated at the counter and in the seating area. The bartender should have a good knowledge of food and our menu to be able to support the team, answer questions from guests regarding beverage selections, and to deliver exceptional customer service.
Essentials:
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all seated guests.
- Demonstrate knowledge of specialty and classic cocktails (ingredients, technique, garnish), wine, beer, and beverage offerings.
- Maintains fluency in all beverage and food menu items and ingredients
- Works with grace, while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the seating area.
- Communicates effectively with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service. You are respectful to fellow employees. Always.
- Able to keep track of stock and assist with inventory
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of restaurant experience with at least 1 year as a Bartender
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Ability to balance and carry a tray, multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses,
- Able to lift objects up to 35 lbs
