What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soldering Technician position at UpTalent?
Hours: 8am - 5pm (Monday - Friday)
Job Summary:
· The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for performing technical duties in one of the functional areas: electronic, mechanical or systems.
· The Manufacturing Technician complete tests, measurements, operations and process controls.
· Strong soldering skillset and experience with High temperature (HMP) and/or low temperature (SN96) is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering tasks to assemble electronic components and circuit boards
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work instructions
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete soldering tasks
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Troubleshoot and repair any soldering defects or issues
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a solderer or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and circuitry
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Basic understanding of machining processes is a plus
- Familiarity with logic controllers is an advantage
Please note that this job may require standing for long periods of time and working with small components. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds may also be necessary.
