Cabinet Maker

Urban Cabinets Company builds, delivers, and installs beautiful custom cabinetry from our wood shop in Woodinville. We are looking for a full-time, experienced cabinetmaker.

We are a medium-sized shop, 20 people or so. While we operate on a systems-based approach and make quick work of standard kitchen cabinets, we have a growing amount of Custom and high-end work. We also manufacture a fair amount of Commercial Casework and both acrylic and laminate countertops.

We are seeking someone with a deep background in woodworking and cabinetry to help build our more complex or particular assemblies, as well as work in our normal production process.

We build mostly frameless cabinetry, with some face frame projects and oddball cabinets here and there. Ours is a fast-paced environment. But we try to take the time needed where it matters to get the details right. We have a pretty flat leadership structure, and our drafters and lead people are smart and experienced cabinetmakers. We have good equipment to help us, but ultimately we rely on the skill and care of our employees to deliver great cabinetry to our customers.

• All candidates must have: Ability to reliably be on time and ready to work daily
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and team lift heavier items on occasion
• A communicative and team-oriented mindset

Desirable work experience:

• Ability to read assembly sheet and cabinet drawings
• Knowledge of current kitchen cabinet hardware
• Experience in a medium-volume work environment – working on all phases of assembly
• Experience will acrylic and laminate countertop production very helpful but not required
• Experience with all common woodworking hand and power tools, as well as widebelt sander, vacuum press, sliding table saw, jointer, planer, shaper, etc. Solid wood processing (be able to grade, flatten, and machine wood to precise dimension)
• Experience using beam saws and or edgebanders is helpful.
