The Woodlawn Campus of the University of Chicago Charter School (UCW) opened in September 2006. The high school currently educates students in grades nine through twelve and assists students in the following:
Reporting directly to the Head of Campus, the Director of College Graduation Office is responsible for ensuring that all of our graduates receive the support that they need to meet our goal of 100% college graduation. This includes but is not limited to overseeing and managing the college graduation office, ensuring all 9-12 grade students have summer options, developing and leverage relationships with post-secondary institutions and maintaining relationships with alumni during and beyond their college years. Additionally, establish relationships with our middle school students and welcome them to participate in all post-secondary events. The Director of College Graduation Office will need to maintain, compile, and analyze all relevant data, college statistics, information and student success outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities include:
- Establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with Colleges and Universities that have proven track records of success with African-American/Black students.
- Develop in collaboration with the CGO team, UCW HS Director and Middle School Director the overall vision, strategic plan and yearly KPIs for college success.
- Establish relationships with the middle school staff, students and parents to further our mission of a Super-highway trajectory for grades K-12.
- Collaborate with To & Through Project around research, data analysis and data practices that influence college enrollment and persistence outcomes.
- Closely collaborate with UChicago Charter School College Counselors, advisors and students who are enrolled in or plan to enroll/re-enroll in college. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing college performance data, evaluating financial opportunities and context, creating differentiated support plans based upon individual student strengths/weaknesses while using the key themes of match, fit and affordability.
- Coordinate with the Alumni Coordinator and College Counselor to ensure all alumni and high school and middle school (when applicable) students are notified and aware of summer enrichment programs, internship experiences and leadership opportunities.
- Utilize and implement the use of Schoolinks school-wide grades 9-12.
- Participate in bi-weekly or bi-monthly meetings with the Middle School and High School Directors to maintain alignment and support initiatives that promote academic success post middle and high school respectively.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for analyzing the college performance trends of UChicago Charter Students including, but not limited to, college graduation, persistence and acceptance rates, selectivity acceptance and enrollment, length of time to graduation, percentage of students graduating in stem fields and alumni holding leadership positions in corporate, non-profit or community endeavors.
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to the College Graduation Office to ensure school staff are well supported, and monitor all college key performance indicators.
- Serve as the lead contact between UCW and CPS Office of College and Career Success around alignment and collaboration as it relates to college enrollment and success strategies, Learn.Plan.Succeed, SQRP and other CPS initiatives impacting charter schools/UCW.
- Bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree in education, higher education, social sciences/social work, or communications is preferred.
- Experience working with high school and college bound students is required. Minimum 3-5 years of events management, college partnerships, alumni relations, systems work or other relevant background, such as college relations required.
- Should have connections and/or relationships with various colleges, local, regional and/or national. Should have a database of resources for student enrichment programs and activities throughout the city of Chicago.
- Ability to articulate and support the mission of UChicago Charter School is required.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, and writing skill with the ability to motivate others.
- Strong program development and ability to manage databases. Ability to create outcome-based reports.
- Must have strong computer skills using Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) and any other database software program.
