Production Control/ Purchasing Specialist
Location: Pewaukee
Hours: Full-time
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000

What do you get to do as our Production Control / Purchasing Specialist?
· Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager the Production Control / Purchasing Specialist will direct the daily execution of ordering direct materials, and subcontracting services. The role will handle all aspects of job routing creation and maintaining all work schedules in production. Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality Control to ensure that customer demands are met on time and in full.
- Planning
- Analyze supply and demand in an effort to release jobs in economical quantities with adequate due dates to support on-time delivery
o Proactively drive Engineering department for solutions to old and/or non-conforming jobs in-process
o Utilize EPICOR ERP system to manage the efficient flow of jobs through the production facility
o Review completed jobs for missing transactions and post transactions accordingly
· Purchasing
o Create purchase orders (PO) in the ERP (Epicor) for direct materials used in production
- Review material constrains and availability for timely delivery from suppliers
- Monitor Open and unconfirmed POs and work with suppliers to ensure on time delivery
- When required, realign production to status of POs
Required Education and Experience
- 2 years of production planning experience, preferably in a job shop environment
- 2 years of purchasing, preferably Direct materials / Subcontract
- Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred not required
- Experience working with Epicor is a plus
- Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior job shop and/or metal component manufacturing experience
