Urban Pace, part of The Long & Foster Companies, a division of Berkshire Hathaway, provides Development Services - marketing, sales, leasing and advisory services to real estate developers. Founded in 2001, our team is the experienced authority having worked on more than 300 communities from large master planned sites to urban boutique buildings. We specialize in condominiums, townhomes, apartments and new construction sites across all price points.

Urban Pace is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to manage marketing efforts across a portfolio of rental and for-sale development projects and to otherwise assist the Urban Pace Executive Team with executing client services and new business pursuits.

The VP of Marketing will be responsible for managing all aspects of marketing for all for-sale and for-rent communities along with corporate marketing for Urban Pace. They will directly manage the Urban Pace marketing team and coordinate with third-party branding and marketing agencies along with our real estate builder and developer clients to ensure that all aspects of project marketing are executed efficiently and effectively with the goal to sellout or lease-up as quickly as possible with the highest rate of return on all marketing investments.

This position requires a high level of organizational skill, close attention to detail, quick decision-making to solve problems as they arise and a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend hours as necessary. The position includes the
challenge of a high level of responsibility coupled with direct work in the trenches.

RESPONSIBLIITIES

  • Marketing Plans - oversee preparing and executing project specific marketing plans and budgets
  • Develop and manage property marketing branding, brochures, renderings, collateral, websites, social media channels and advertising
  • Oversee the creation and updates to sales/marketing collateral, branded lender/pricing sheets, and signage in conjunction with our creative agencies.
  • Develop, execute and staff Broker outreach, broker events and general public events
  • Oversee the design and implementation of property marketing tour deliverables, including onsite graphics, presentation boards, signage and onsite marketing centers
  • Continually monitor analytics for eblast campaigns, advertising outreach, social media channels and website traffic, and provide guidance for improving metrics
  • Continually evaluate marketing plans and budgets to ensure goals and objectives are consistently being met at the highest level
  • Facilitate communications between creative partners, vendors, and Urban Pace on project creative deliverables
  • Plan and oversee the execution of all web, SEO/SEM, social media advertising campaigns
  • Solicit proposals for all projects and expenses – keep track of approvals and signs off after verifying accuracy
  • Oversee photography/videography of projects
  • Liaison between Developer clients and sales and marketing teams efforts
  • Assist in communication with the sales and leasing teams
  • Manage marketing vendors, i.e. printers, sign companies, catering companies, etc.
  • Conduct company, client, industry, competitor, and other research and analysis to assist managers with business development efforts as well as other marketing reports
  • Create client proposals
  • Manage all project marketing budgets to include month-end invoicing and reconciliation/actuals
  • Manage project public relations by creating press releases, distributing releases to appropriate contacts, and managing media relations
  • Liaise with Long & Foster IT to set up new email accounts, purchase and renew domains, set up WiFi and phone lines for sales offices, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree; Marketing, communications or related field of study preferred
  • 8-10 years of marketing experience, real estate experience preferred
  • General knowledge of the Washington, DC real estate market and surrounding submarkets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and experience with email marketing tools and CRMs
  • Experience with Google AdWords, Analytics and Social Media Ad Campaigns
  • Must possess strong collaboration skills, be able to manage a small team, as well as be able to work independently
  • Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective listening and critical thinking skills
