Title: Specialty Leasing Sales and Marketing Representative

Urban Retail Properties, LLC, has an immediate opening for a full-time Specialty Leasing Sales and Marketing Representative. The position oversees the short-term leasing activities (RMU's, kiosks, vending & in-lines) and marketing programs for the center (developing customer programs, coordinating events, etc.) as well as other assigned duties.

The Specialty Leasing position coordinates all operational and administrative issues as it pertains to temporary leasing, including; canvassing, negotiating and drafting license agreements, supervision of licensee move-ins and set-ups, annual budgets, and coordination of visual merchandising.

Specific Specialty Leasing responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Leasing RMU’s, kiosks, vending, and in-line spaces
  • Monitor and manage all financial reporting, prepare budgets and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
  • Prospecting and canvassing for new retail businesses and operators.
  • Monitor and enforce all rules and regulations of the specialty leasing guidelines.
  • Implementing and enforcing visual merchandising standards and may merchandise RMU’s, kiosks, vending and in-lines.
  • Assist in licensee set-ups.
  • Obtain the approval of all specialty leasing deals from Regional Director and Ownership (if applicable).
  • Submit specialty leasing deal terms and applicable exhibits for approval through on-line portal
  • Provide the Operations Manager all set-up requirements and coordinate move in and move-outs of each licensee.
  • Assist the General Manager when needed in collecting licensee rents, sales and required documents and information.

The Marketing Representative position leads the development of center’s annual marketing plan in support of property business plan goals. Responsible for execution of all marketing plan programs/elements for the property. Works with entire mall team to develop long-term vision at center in relation to its competitive marketplace.

Specific marketing responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Responsible for maximizing non-traditional revenue through the execution of appropriate income-generating events, promotions and activities. In addition, drives the effort for obtaining local sponsorship for mall revenues, programs and events
  • Responsible for establishing effective business relationships with the retailers on a local level in order to maximize the sales productivity and success of the events in the mall
  • Develops/Coordinates research activity for center (customer studies, trade area demographics, customized research initiatives) and effectively utilize research information in the development and execution of center’s business and marketing plans
  • Develops appropriate measurement tools to monitor the effectiveness and overall success of the various marketing efforts
  • Ability to create and adhere to marketing budget
  • Develop/coordinate advertising campaigns
  • Manage mall’s visual merchandising program
  • Oversee the coordinator/setup/takedown of holiday décor
  • Supports the leasing function through participation in the leasing process, development of leasing/sales materials and optimal representation of the center to appropriate retailers (existing and potential)

Successful candidates will have a BA/BS degree, excellent communication skills and a minimum of one to two years' experience in Specialty Leasing, Marketing, Business Development, or Sales. Previous retail experience a plus.

Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning company software program related to document management.

Hours are 8:00am-5pm M-F however there are times where schedule must be flexible due to nature of retail business. Must have reliable transportation to canvass/prospect surrounding area in order to prospect for new businesses. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
