Reports to: Operations Manager
Shift: Sunday thru Wednesday 6p to 4:30a
Overview
The Operations Supervisor must have a general understanding of E-commerce, Wholesale and Retail replenishment fulfillment processes. They must flourish in a production goal-oriented environment. The ability to anticipate and solve problems and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is key. The selected individual must be a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Daily responsibilities will include setting priorities, reviewing work standards, and implementing methods to enhance workflow by identifying issues and expediting solutions.
Responsibilities
• Communicate and uphold Company policies and procedures
• Conduct start-up meetings, communicate department expectations to all employees
• Coordinate day to day work activities to ensure operational goals and objectives are met
• Ensure that all employees have the required tools and training on matters of; safety, operation standards, and department goals
• Create a positive work environment and develop ownership in department operations with your employees
• Responsible for maintaining fiscal responsibility within the DC including labor and supply cost control
• Inspect the quality of work and accuracy
• Cross-train employees in all departments to build depth
• Identify/develop candidates for promotion or for additional responsibilities
• Interact with management and cross-functional employees to resolve issues affecting operations
• Review individual performance and attendance trends and provide counseling when required
• Address employee needs in partnership with the Ops Manager
• Assist in all other departments as needed
• Promote high standards of Housekeeping and Safety
• All other duties assigned by Manager
Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years in similar role or similar role in fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing or call centers
• Proven ability to communicate with, support, and motivate employees to achieve operational objectives
• Excellent verbal /written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a team environment
• Strong capacity to be analytical, track, record, and report department production
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Sterling (OMS), Manhattan Associates WMS or equivalent warehouse management systems
• Familiarity with Kronos time management systems
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate the ability to manage change in an appropriate and effective manner and is a strong role model to the team
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 50 pounds
