What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer position at URBN?
Reports to: Loss Prevention / Security Supervisor
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be supportive: Support distribution leadership on all loss prevention, security, and safety issues.
- Be resourceful: Respond to complex and general emergency events as required.
- Be diligent: Perform associate and vendor check-in and check-out processes to company standard.
- Be approachable: Build a strong rapport with associates and leadership.
- Be precise: Maintain accurate truck yard records of incoming deliveries and outgoing shipments.
- Be flexible: All other duties assigned by leadership based on business needs.
- Be available: Must be able to work overtime as required.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:
- High School Degree or GED required.
- 0-1 years of loss prevention, security, or safety experience; preferred with first aid/ CPR/ AED training.
- Strong analytical and computer skills.
- Working knowledge of security equipment preferred (CCTV, alarm systems, and access control)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to manipulate a keyboard for extended periods of time
- Climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods of time
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 50 pounds
- Operate warehouse equipment as required for position (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker) which requires coordinated movements
