Summary Of Responsibilities
At Urenco USA, Project Engineers perform basic analysis and designs in support of the facility, programs, and projects. Additionally, they provide engineering support in terms of troubleshooting, functional testing, general configuration management control, as well as coordination/oversight of engineering entities supporting projects; as assigned, with light supervision to independent work depending on level of experience.
Education And Experience
Science related Bachelor s degree from a four year University
0-1 years of engineering experience.
Job Details
Work Location: Eunice, NM Work Schedule: Professional work schedule/ with minimal night/ weekend support. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Employees are also subject to call-outs as needed Travel Required: 10% of the time or less as require Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty could be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week. Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.

Primary Functions
- Apply engineering judgment and professional rigor in the performance of all analyses and assigned tasks and projects.
- Assist in identifying resolution of technical problems in accordance with established procedures and available vendor documents (including but not limited to: Nonconformance Evaluations, Operability Determinations, and Quality Level determinations)
- Perform analysis, calculations, and develop designs in support of the assigned facility and engineering programs and projects.
- Conduct field walk downs with extended oversight in and around the facility as needed for job duties and for general Engineering observations and adeptness.
- Develop Plant Modification packages from described desired solution or from described issue.
- Perform technical and quality reviews of a wide array of engineering and technical products.
- Communicate and work alongside other organizations to resolve technical issues and to implement engineering outputs.
- Assist with other engineering firms to ensure technical products required for the projects are technically accurate and support the project delivery schedule.
- Apply industrial safety and radiological safety practices in the performance of all field activities and engineering functions.
- Maintain regulatory and schedule compliance for assigned tasks.
- Acquire and maintain required training and qualifications necessary to perform assigned job responsibilities.
- Ability to take direction and function as a team member to solve a variety of engineering problems in the applicable discipline.
- Understanding of basic engineering principles and problem solving techniques is required.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of facility s design and licensing basis in the assigned area of responsibility
