What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Urgent Care in Philadelphia?
myDoc Urgent Care is located in Philadelphia, PA. We are looking for an experienced medical billing specialist responsible for in house medical billing responsibilities with a focus on account receivable with insurance payers and patients. Other responsibilities include coding, clearing house claim submission, payment posting, and resolution of billing issues.
Pre-requisite:
· Must have relevant experience in medical claim A/R.
· Be proficient in ICD 10, professional claim process.
Major Job Duties:
- Working on insurance A/R list to resolve all issues in order to achieve timely reimbursement from the payers.
- Must be familiar with medical claim process including insurance payers, diagnostic codes, CPT codes, modifier, etc.
- Proficient in EMR, claim clearing house, denial reasons, and ability to contact insurance companies to resolute issues.
- Proficient in medical coding process: procedures and diagnostic codes into format that can be translated by payers
- Proficient in payment posting process: ERA, denials reason, and work flow after payment posting.
- Timely resolve all issues to ensure claims are processed accurately and timely
- Answer billing questions from patients
- Use EMR, Navient, Claim Clearing House and portals
Qualifications:
· 2 to 3 years medical billing and collection experience
· Required: EMR, Claim Clearing House, Navinet

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
