HVAC Technician Summary of Job Description: This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing facility HVAC equipment. Primary Responsibilities This includes maintaining and repairing air handling units, exhaust fans, fan coil units, reheat coils, hot water heaters, refrigeration units, chillers, cooling towers, and other associated mechanical equipment. Additional duties will include troubleshooting customer service calls for temperature comfort inside our buildings. Maintaining accuracy of system documentation and limited support of new installation projects may be required. Obtain JLL QEW (Qualified Electrical Worker) designation. Strong working knowledge of building automation systems, and HVAC systems Working knowledge of life safety systems to include generator, fire systems to include fire panel, sprinklers, audio, and visual devices Performs other building and equipment maintenance and repairs as needed Performs predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and equipment round and service requests as directed Performs all duties in a safe manner, comply with all safety procedures and maintaining clean and safe work areas in accordance with established work standards and practices Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed, using work order system Complete site GMP requirements in relation to training and site practices. Maintain GMP training qualifications to ensure site compliancy standards. Maintains all codes, laws, and regulations through the JLL compliance program. Maintains a clean and safe workplace. Interact well with others in a team environment including team members as well as other internal / external customers. Team player with the desire to foster teamwork to help create a positive working environment. Be able to work independently and follow escalation policy if needed. Actively participates in technical and safety training programs. Performs additional duties as directed. Some Overtime may be required. Qualifications Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license. Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (3) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical. Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, Windows based computers and have good communication skills in English, both oral and written. Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other equipment required to complete job tasks High school diploma or GED equivalent Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures. Successful candidate must be self-motivated who can work independently or on a team.
