What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Assistant NF-02 position at US Army Installation Management Command?

Duties

  • Assists management with the operation of facility. Issues, receives and controls cash receipts and change funds; verifies cash count of funds turned in by cashiers. Determines cash shortage or overages.
  • Assures only authorized patrons utilize the facilities. Assists in setting up parties according to party plan. May assist bartenders in setting up bars and/or cashier's bag. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility.
  • Submits daily report of operations. Completes Daily Activity Report. May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a medical examination.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • Incumbent must be willing and able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Incumbent must be willing and able to willing and able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.
  • Incumbent must meet state/local age (18) requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must possess:

  • Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items.
  • Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment.
  • Skill in providing customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

HIGLY PREFERRED:
  • Six (6) months or more experience in food & beverage administration.
  • Six (6) months or more experience with, RecTrac software for POS, running reports, inventory.
In order to be considered Highly Preferred, you must meet ALL minimum and ALL Highly Preferred criteria. Applicants meeting Highly Preferred will referred to the selecting official first. Remaining applicants will be referred if there is no selection from the Highly Preferred candidates.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
