Duties

  • Works as assistant to Facilities Operations Team Leader who makes assignments, explains policies/procedures and reviews work. Opens and/or closes facilities. Job may require work in various facilities.
  • Issues/receives recreational equipment. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected, and makes daily bank deposits. Pre-checks and prepares equipment for customers, explains use, and monitors proper usage.
  • Policies interior and exterior areas. Conducts surveillance and reports any unusual findings to supervisor. Arranges furniture and equipment for events; puts up and takes down special event decorations. May assist in conducting event.
  • Maybe required to drive a motor vehicle as needed. Tows recreational vehicles and operates forklift. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment. Prepares work order for maintenance.
  • Performs general housekeeping to make facilities/playing fields/pools/outdoor courts ready for use. Monitors inventories. Inspects equipment when turned in and collects fees for damages. Tests mechanical equipment for serviceability after use.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
  • Incumbent must possess and have the ability to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Incumbent must be willing and able to complete a forklift operation training within three (3) months of employment.
  • Incumbent must meet the Department of Labor Federal Age requirement (at least 18 years of age) to operate recreational vehicles and forklifts.
  • Incumbent must be willing to travel within, and to/from place of duty as needed by position.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated ability to performs the duties described above.
  • Must have and retain a valid driver's license.

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will not be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
