Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the scrub technician is responsible for providing the necessary equipment, instruments and/or supplies during ophthalmic surgery with the surgeon, nurses, and staff. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, and ever-changing environment. Competencies:
- Experience in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments or previous experience/training as a surgical scrub tech preferred
- Ability to read and communicate effectively with patients, peers, supervisors, and team
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with patients, physicians, and staff
- Excellent customer service skills are a must!
- Travel to multiple locations may be required
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience as a scrub technician
- High School Diploma or equivalency is required
- Experience in Ophthalmology (preferred)
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position located in Naples, FL.
- Travel to other locations as necessary
