New England Cryogenic Center (NECC) was founded in 1971 and is considered one of the pioneers in processing and cryopreservation of human cells and tissue.
The Accounting and Customer Service Specialist is responsible for billing, collection agency review, bank deposits, submitting account payables, ordering office supplies, client communications, and administering our UK division. They are to provide support to the Executive Director across all business lines.
We are seeking a full-time Billing Coordinator to join our Marlborough, MA team. The schedule is working Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm.
What You'll Do:
- Billing (Domestic and International, across all business lines)
Review accounts for accuracy
Determine proper amounts billed
Running invoices and preparing for mailing
Posting payments
- Collections
Sending certified invoices prior to sending to collection agency
Submitting accounts to collection agency
Notifying agency when accounts have been paid
- Overseeing all aspects of our UK division (billing, customer service, financials)
- Review and maintain installment plans
- Write-off of bad debt accounts
- Bank deposits
- Submitting AP invoices (local line to reporting payables to corporate)
- Ordering office supplies
- Engage in critical and confidential aspects of accounting
- Assist customers and colleagues with account questions regarding cryo-storage and billing
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone or email (inbound and outbound)
- Complete special projects as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Business certificate or associate degree; Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Two years of accounting experience or relevant business experience
- Self-directed and motivated, with excellent communication, interpersonal and client service skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with medical services operations preferred
- Sales experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to build and facilitate good working relationships with staff at all levels of organization
- Demonstrated ability exercising sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent organizational skills
