Manager, Figure Skating Programs

U.S. Figure Skating, the National Governing Body for the sport of figure skating, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is accepting applications for the position of Manager, Figure Skating Programs. U.S. Figure Skating is a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and the International Skating Union (ISU).

The Figure Skating Programs Manager is responsible for the administration, growth and development of programs offered by U.S. Figure Skating that enhance the skaters’ experience in the sport and aid in membership retention. These include National Showcase, Theatre On Ice, Solo Dance, Adult Skating, Icemen, Excel program, State Games and future programs to be developed. The Figure Skating Programs Manager will work with volunteer committee chairs and departments within the organization to execute these programs.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

· Oversee the administration of the following current programs: National Showcase, Theatre On Ice, National Solo Dance Series, Adult Skating, Icemen, State Games, Excel Series.

· Collaborate with Local Organizing Committees (LOCs) on multiple national events annually, including the National Theatre On Ice competition, National Excel Festival, National Showcase competition, and National Solo Dance Final.

· Assist Theatre On Ice subcommittee with selection procedures and team operations for bi-annual Nations Cup & Adult Gold Cup international competition. Coordinate logistics and operations for support staff and team leaders, providing on the ground support to all teams as needed.

· Manage logistics and serve as Headquarters liaison for programs with national events. Work with volunteer committee chairs to oversee the continued growth and development of these programs, including survey administration, data review, and project management & planning.

· Provide customer service and support for athletes, coaches, and clubs involved in programs.

· Deliver educational materials and curriculum to increase the use of these programs within clubs, including, but not limited to webinars and training videos.

· Ensures SkateSafe policies and compliance requirements are met in all programs.

· Work collaboratively with the Events Department & Product Support on Event Management System implementation for all skating programs registration & series management.

Qualifications:

· A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent experience. Minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative role where organizational skills were required. Travel less than 10% will be required.

· Experience that demonstrates first-hand knowledge of and experience with how U.S. Figure Skating programs are utilized by our constituency – for example: a leadership role within a figure skating club, ice rink, Learn to Skate USA program, theatrical skating program, etc.

· Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong computer skills, including Excel.

· Proven ability to foster excellent stakeholder relationships, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently, as part of a team, and in a leadership role is necessary.

Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Hybrid)

U.S. Figure Skating has a flexible work environment. Employees are required to work from the office three days per week; additional temporary remote opportunities exist throughout the year based on the organization’s business operations.

Classification: Exempt Employee

Reporting Requirement: Reports to Senior Director, Membership

Compensation: Commensurate with experience; Annual Salary Range: $48,000-$56,000
