Primary function of this position is to drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites. Main Ingredients of the Job Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection Physical Requirements Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions required What You Bring to the Table Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse* Must be at least 21 years of age Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications 6 months commercial driving experience required Doubles endorsement required Minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements OR 1 year Class A OTR driving experience required Must be comfortable working overnight Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records. *Registering to the FMCSA Clearinghouse is a requirement by the Department of Transportation. All Drivers are required to the Clearinghouse website and register to the new database. The Clearinghouse is a secure online database that provides real-time information about commercial driver’s license (CDL) and commercial learner’s permit (CLP) holders’ drug and alcohol program violations.
