Background
Pre-employment background investigations are a significant line of business for the US ISS
Agency, LLC (ISS). These pre-employment background investigations are more than just running database searches and reporting the findings. ISS requires data analysts to conduct the searches, analyze the results, inquire about discrepancies and thoroughly report the relevant information. As a result, these are background investigations rather than background checks. ISS conducts these investigations in support of a wide range of public and private sector clients.

ISS screens for a variety of employment positions from entry level to corporate and government executives alike. Thorough, complete and accurate investigations are of utmost importance to our clients and the subjects of the investigations, as these reports are used to support employment decisions. Experience and integrity are key elements in providing the service our clients require.

Purpose
The purpose of the Data Analyst position is to complete pre-employment background screening database services for clients of ISS. This position will be responsible for working with clients to meet their pre-employment screening needs, writing basic reports and addressing basic questions regarding screening. The analyst will complete database searches, make inquiries regarding employment and educational histories, analyze search results, investigate discrepancies, and compile reports for clients. This position assists and takes direction from the Background Investigation Services Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, responsive and courteous customer service.
• Work with clients to develop appropriate search profiles for each client.
• Search databases to obtain information required for each pre-employment investigation.
• Validate educational, employment and other references related to each screen.
• Analyze the results of searches
• Follow-up on any discrepancies and resolve any questions concerning each screen.
• Prepare a well-written, thorough and concise report on each screen and submit to the client.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of database services used in providing background investigation services.
• Ability to effectively and courteously communicate with clients, subjects of investigations, references, employers, co-workers and others to accomplish assigned responsibilities.
• Fast and accurate keyboard ability
• Ability to investigate, inquire and probe into background information to determine facts, identify discrepancies and follow-up with appropriate inquiries and searches.
• Ability to analyze documents and other data, and discern relevant from non-relevant information.
• Ability to effectively organize work and focus on assigned tasks.
• Accurately document investigative findings in a well-written, through and concise manner.
• College degree preferred, although not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
