Hourly Wage

Key Purpose
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for implementing and monitoring site-specific health, safety and environmental operations and tasks at the assigned job site. The EHS Coordinator serves as a contact for employees and supervisors concerning safety-related matters and is responsible for the application of the Health, Safety, & Environmental (EHS) programs. The EHS Coordinator provides resources and information to the client’s employees and management as needed.
Key Accountabilities
- Safety Committee support, meeting minutes and agenda creation
- Lead/Model/Coach proper techniques for conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) Crew Meetings.
- Develop task/situation-specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and JSA documents.
- Conduct worksite EHS jobsite inspections to ensure compliance with 29 CFR 1926 regulations and company/project requirements, using EHS coaching techniques to correct deficiencies.
- Participate in investigating and analyzing hazardous conditions, close calls, and incidents, developing and reports, root causes, and lessons learned.
- Setup and maintain EHS administrative files.
- Maintain inventory of EHS, first aid, emergency response supplies.
- Assist in the development of company Policies and Procedures as needed.
Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence
- Work with Safety Team Members collaborating on improvements and initiatives to continue to reduce risk.
- Communicate daily activities to an EHS Manager.
Ideal Candidate Experience
- 1 to 3 years of related safety field experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal Rioters and external customers.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google sheets and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- While most work will be in an office setting, visits to worksites will require the incumbent to occasionally:
- Work outside and subject to temperatures rarely under 32 degrees or over 100 degrees
- Work in a noisy environment
- Work around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts
