Maintenance Scheduler/Planner JOB DESCRIPTION: The Scheduler/Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling activities to facilitate the timely and cost effective completion of all maintenance activities. This individual develops, monitors, and updates the master schedule to ensure that the work is optimally executed and meets the program timing requirements outlined in the site 52-week planner and operational responsibility matrix. PRINCIPLE DUTIES • Perform the duties of Help Desk Administrator including front line interaction with departmental customers via phone, email, intranet or face to face. Respond to customer inquiries by entering work requests into CMMS, gathering information about the services needed and/or provide the requested information • Perform computerized maintenance management system administrative activities including documentation of assets and their attributes to ensure proper classification, management of work orders. - including preventive, proactive and corrective, reactive maintenance processes. • Assign maintenance work orders to the appropriate staff and/or contracted resources in CMMS. • Work with supervisors to plan/schedule the activities of maintenance and contracted technicians related to current backlog. • Review completed maintenance documentation (e.g., work orders, service reports) to ensure compliance with applicable standard operating procedures. • Provide supporting data for monthly reports on shut down events\change management, productivity statistics, and departmental objectives. • Maintain operations & maintenance manual availability and historical data files. • Collect, sort, and assemble data/information from established and non-established sources for standard reports. • Create special reports as needs are demonstrated by supervisory staff. • Coordinate material lead time with field mechanical staff and Parts Coordinator, to ensure that parts are available for scheduled work. • Assist in the organization and coordination of external contracts for scheduled maintenance actions. • Provide data assurance for all hours worked by the technician team. This would include setting work orders for training and meeting times. • Provide analytics for productivity of work force to make adjustments in schedule and man loading. REQUIREMENTS • 5-10 years of related Maintenance Planner experience • Ability to effectively use, at an intermediate level, PC software including Microsoft Excel®, Word®, and MSN • Experience using computerized maintenance management software preferred; Tririga IBM® • Current ability or demonstrable ability, with training, to effectively work with Intelligrated material handling equipment for purpose of distribution of product. • Experience in a maintenance help desk environment and with work planning/scheduling preferred • Familiarity with a facility or distribution center environment preferred Work Environment While most work will be in an office setting, regular daily travel to onsite distribution centers required. • Work outside and subject to temperatures rarely under 32 degrees or over 100 degrees • Work in a noisy environment • Work around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts Other The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
