Junior Accountant - Bethel, CT

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Junior Accountant to join our amazing culture. As a Junior Accountant you are a part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

The ideal candidate should be able to learn quickly and work well both with the team and independently. The Junior Accountant will be focused primarily on support of general ledger functions, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.  Also, the scope of the position includes other various accounting duties, such as the monthly financial close, recording financial transactions, and completing account reconciliations.

The candidate should possess basic knowledge of general accounting principles and be proficient in Excel.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

• Post general journal entries
• Complete various account reconciliations; researching and investigating discrepancies as needed
• Post, reconcile and coordinate intercompany transactions with other Convergint divisions
• Support audit requests
• Assist in accounting projects and IT initiatives as assigned to accomplish department/company objectives
• Posting AP invoices
• Applying Payments and processing deposits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience preferred
• Hands-on experience working with a general ledger
• Must have basic experience with Microsoft Excel – intermediate preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
